April 16 - 18, 2009 - The 7th annual St. Louis Herb Society Herb Sale will be held at Missouri Botanical Garden
A special preview will be available to Garden members from 9 – 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16. The sale will open to the public at 11 a.m. The focus will be on culinary herbs, with special emphasis on Plant of Merit herbs, and the most popular and requested varieties from previous sales. Herb Society members will offer guidance on growing, preserving and cooking with these easy-to-grow plants. Available for purchase will be very fresh, healthy herbs including the 2009 Herb of the Year: Bay Laurel, (sweet bay, bay leaf). We will again feature the popular Potting Shed” where you can purchase a container from the Garden Gate Shop and Herb Society members will expertly plant your newly purchased herbs for a small fee.
